Viliami Helu was inspired by his dad, who played for the US Eagles in the Rugby World Cup, and started playing rugby at 13 in Danville, California where he grew up. His dad coached him when he was young and he had the chance to get to know his dad’s teammates. These connections built a network of rugby coaching and mentorship early on. In college, he was an All-American twice and toured with the All-Americans to Queensland, Australia. He’s been a part of the Rugby ATL team since 2020. He and his wife support two missionaries in Thailand and a few in Mexico where they help build homes.
