Wikus Groenewald is a South African native whose interest in rugby was the biggest influence in his life and helped him get into the high school of his choice and, eventually, to America. He has won the 2017 Bronze Medal in the Junior World Cup South Africa, the National Title U21, and Runner-up in the 2021 MLR season. He played the Currie Cup, South Africa’s premier rugby competition, for both the Leopards and Pumas before coming on to Rugby ATL. Groenewald has a passion for hiking, road trips, and ecology, which he says Georgia is the perfect place for.
