Rugby ATL released our sixth episode of The RATL Roundup, our weekly series live-streamed to share some of the people behind our organization with our viewers.
This week, our episode featured players Marno Redelinghuys and Ross Deacon, two of our talented forwards here at Rugby ATL, to showcase their unique backgrounds as rugby players and their well-roundedness as men.
This week, in the seventh episode of our video series ‘Rugby 101,’ pro player Neets Gericke teaches us about the scrum, a set piece where the forwards bind together in an ordered formation to push over the ball against an opposing pack. With help from his fellow forwards, Neets takes us through the setup of each forward as the group packs down to scrum.
This week, our episode featured players Duncan Van Schalkwyk, Alex Maughan, and Chance Wenglewski, as they shared their stories around growing up with the game of rugby, and how it has affected the trajectory of their lives.
Rugby ATL Produces ‘Rugby 101’ Episode 6: The Lineout, as Part 1 of a 3 Part Series on the Set Piece
For our sixth episode of the ‘Rugby 101’ video series, pro player Neets Gericke is assisted by a few of his fellow forwards as we educate you in detail about the lineout.
On May 26th, 2020 Rugby ATL released our fourth episode of The RATL Roundup, our weekly live stream, featuring Pathway 404 Academy Director of Athlete Performance James Paul & Athletic Trainer Brian Roberts. Vice President Kevin McCorry kicked off the round table discussion by asking James Paul, affectionately known within our franchise as JP, to put the significance of his role in our organization into his own words.

Especially because I get to have hands-on and real interpersonal connections with the guys, and with these 404 Academy players coming through, I get to employ PACE at the very outset. Put out by Coach Lawrence and the principles of Rugby ATL, we get to change people, and enable them to thrive.”

On May 11th, 2020, we here in Atlanta’s premier rugby team released the second episode of our new live series ‘The RATL Roundup,’ part of our set of online video programs intended to share news headlines, personal stories, and other rugby-related items with our fans.
With social distancing orders still in effect, our players at Rugby ATL are doing their part.
Organized by our Director of Athlete Performance Matt Dallow, many of our now home-based players have been training individually for the past three months.
